Problemų ir klaidų paprastai atsiranda dėl skirtingų požiūrių, netramdomo emocingumo, kito minčių neadekvataus aiškinimo, informacijos stokos, netinkamo užduočių atlikimo ir kt. Klaidos daromos pirmiausia dėl to, kad nežinoma ar nepaisoma elgesio taisyklių, mokinys klaidingai vertinamas, pernelyg menkinama kito asmenybė, aukštinamas savo sprendimas. Dažnas klaidų šaltinis yra pirmasis įspūdis, kuriuo vadovaujasi mokytojas bendraudamas su mokiniu ar mokinys bendraudamas su mokytoju. Problemų ir klaidų kilmę reikia aiškinti dar ir tuo, kad pedagogai per mažai gilinasi į mokinio individualybę, neįsijaučia į jo išgyvenimus, silpnumą, trūkumų ir klaidų priežastis. Dėl to įpročiu yra tapęs mokinių žinių ir nemokėjimo emocinis vertinimas. Kartais jis išsilieja pasipiktinimo, gėdinimo, žeminimo frazėmis. Tokios emocijos trikdo normalų bendravimą, silpnina pasitikėjimą savimi, mokymosi motyvaciją bei aktyvumą. Pakantumo nežinojimui, nemokėjimui, silpniems gebėjimams stoka – taip pat neigiamų emocijų ir nesitvardymo šaltinis. Skubotas žinių vertinimas taip pat ydingas, nes mokyti galima ir be pažymių. Be jų mokiniai gali kitaip sužinoti savo pažangos rezultatus. Mokinys kaip subjektas kartais užmirštamas. Nesirūpinama tuo, ką jis moka, gali, kad būtų skatinamas tobulėti.
